In a counter to Jio network, Bharti Airtel on Wednesday rolled out a new version of its MyAirtel app for Android and iOS devices. It announced that to get benefits and avail the new features, users have to download the app from Play Store or App Store, and existing users can simply update to the new version.
Along with the with existing selfcare features, the MyAirtel app is relaunched as a collection of ‘Airtel Apps’ at a signle place, as Reliance Jio has already did with the its MyJio app. The latest version of the app offers apps like Ditto TV, Hike Messenger app, Wynk Music, Wynk Movies, Airtel Money and Juggernaut.
With the Ditto TV app, users can enjoy 100 Live TV channels and popular TV shows without and subscription charges. The telco further stated that with each install of Airtel Dialer and Airtel Cloud, each user will get 50 minutes of Airtel to Airtel calls and up to 2GB of cloud storage.
“There are two new exciting apps from the Airtel stable – Airtel Cloud and Airtel Dialer. Airtel Cloud provides 2GB of free cloud storage and back up. Airtel Dialer offers 50 minutes of free Airtel-to-Airtel calling benefits, in addition to its call management feature,” Airtel said in a statement.
The MyAirtel app’s cloud storage could be used to backup audio, video, photos, documents, contacts, call history, and more. The data chargers levied for uploading content to the cloud storage during night hours would be free for prepaid users, while, it will be ‘very soon’ available to the postpaid users.
Meanwhile, with the new Airtel Dialer app, users can utilise free Airtel to Aritel 50 minutes of calls and will be able to get real-time balance information.

All these apps have been curated to ensure customers are offered the best of the web, with more exciting apps and partnerships coming in the near future,” Harmeen Mehta, Global CIO & Director-Engineering, Bharti Airtel, said in a statement.
